For the second time this spring season, Timmy Neighbors will carry 'The Boot' for the week. He stepped up and claimed possesion of the trophy in grand fashion.
Very late in the second half, the Rangers scored on a header to tie the game. With our lack of subs and a big field (by Das Magic standards), a win didn't look very promising. Suddenly, in a flash, the memory of a tie faded into a dream and we walked off the field with a solid 4-2 victory in our hip pocket.
Timmy had a hat trick on sunday, but, the second and third goals were the tallies that we needed most. The offense was trapped in the right offensive corner with no easy way out when the new comer, Chris made an excellent looping cross from the sideline, over the keeper's head, to the far side of the goal. On a full run, Tim tapped in a full volly passed a shocked goalie. Already feeling we deflated the opposition with the quick goal and content to defend for the last five minute, Timmy found himself on the end of another cross from the right midfield. He stepped to the pass with a chest trap and struck a right footer into the lower left netting to make the final goal count four.
Who wants it next week............ I see something.....
