The knee-jerk choice of this week's Golden Boot winner
was 'Bulldog' Neighbors. After all, he did volly
the winning goal into the Celtic's net with no time
left on the game clock. It was a solid finish in a
game riddled with missed opportunities (including quite
a few by the goal scorer himself).
After reflecting on the key plays of the victory, another
name bubbled to the top....'THE DELIVERER'. By his own
admission, he struggled mightily on the pitch as a field
player. But, in the waining minutes of the game, he made
his presence known. On a rare breakaway to our net by
the opposition, Barsch made a gigantic leap (at least 2-3
inches off the groud) to deflect a well-taken shot that
nearly settled in the far netting.
Way to make a strong comeback and do what needs to get done
to win. That is what the GBA is all about!
Who wants it next week............ I see something.....
