WrapUp from 09-25-2005

Time: 10ish
Location: Marist High School
Conditions: Sporadic rain/ Overcast
Event: Das Magic vs. Global Rangers

It was a dreary day in Alsip as the Das Magicians warmed
up on the pitch and once again the name DAS MAGIC struck
fear in the hearts of our opponents before the opening whistle.
Only 8 brave souls showed up to face the undefeated home team.
As the lineups were being set a few women, who will remain
nameless and were afraid of getting wet, joined the rest of
the team. Eric brought the family and two wives who sat in
the rain and cheered on their father and husband in his 120th
(or so) game.

The scoring began early as a well placed cross to Virgisís
head blew by the opposing goalie and into the net. (yes,
Virgis does use something other than his left foot to score).
By halftime both teams were at full strength. Virgis finished
the game with a hat trick. Goals were also scored by Johnny,
Eric, and Tony (HERBIE). The visiting team manage two goals
in the second half, but it was not enough for the offensive
fire power of the big red machine. The final score 7-2

The next week brings a long awaited match-up between two
